karen merkel hand building workshop

Part one: May 7th, 7-9pm
Part two: May 21st, 7-9pm
Students will learn how to make a hand-built dish using surface design techniques and learn how to glaze pieces.
During the first class, artist Karen Merkel will teach how to create a dish with slabs and how to add texture to the clay using objects that leave a design. Students are allowed to bring an object to print the clay with if interested. The objects that work best should have a texture to them; examples: leaves, doilies, burlap, etc.
During the second class, students will learn how to glaze pieces using different glaze techniques that accentuates the design in their pieces.

kid's summer classes
Join us this summer for our week long kids camp! Students will learn how to make things out of clay that will get fired and glazed for them to keep!
Ages 6 - 10 will be able to learn how to make creations doing hand building.
Ages 10 - 15 will be able to choose a hand building or wheel throwing class session.
*Each class will be one hour long and everyday listed. All items are food safe.
Students will make creations and the studio will fire them and glaze them the color
they choose for each piece. After pots are all finished, we will contact you to pick
them up. Please allow at least 3 weeks for pick up*
Dates: June 7th - 11th & June 21st - 25th

father's day classes
Enjoy Father's Day this year while doing something fun for the whole family! Each student will be able to create their own piece on the potter's wheel and get to choose the glaze they want. Once fired, we will let you know when to pick them up! All pottery is food safe and functional so you can always remember the day.
Each ticket is per person
